Reach the water by boardwalk from the park parking lots: the Mid-Beach Wood Bridge is roughly 1,000 feet and the South Beach Concrete Bridge is roughly half a mile. Fishing gear rentals are available on site.
Trout, redfish and snook in the back bay, tarpon seasonally, and mullet in the bay year-round.
A Florida fishing license is required; check whether the park sells one on site or bring your own.
